1. Use Google Backup (Recommended by OnePlus and Google):
The easiest way to back up your OnePlus. It saves apps, contacts, call history, and settings to your Google account.
To back up:
- Go to Settings > System > Backup
- Turn on Backup to Google Drive
- Tap Backup now
To restore:
- Sign in with your Google account during setup and follow the steps to restore your data.

2. Use the OnePlus Switch (or Clone Phone) App
To back up:
- Open the app > Backup & Restore > New Backup
- Select what to back up > Tap Backup now
- Files are saved in File Manager > Storage > opbackup > MobileBackup
Tip: Copy the folder to your computer for safety
To restore:
- Open the app > Restore Backup > Pick your file
3. Manually Back Up to Your Computer
A simple way to back up your files without extra apps.
How to do it:
- Connect your phone to your PC with a USB cable
- Select File Transfer (MTP) on your phone
- On your PC, open your phone’s storage and copy important folders like DCIM, Pictures, Documents, and Music
Tip: Also copy the OnePlus Switch backup folder for extra safety

4. Use Third-Party Backup Software:
Apps like MobileTrans or Coolmuster help you back up your whole phone or just certain data to your computer. They’re easy to use, even if you’re not good with tech.
Just install the app on your PC or Mac, connect your phone, and follow the steps to save things like photos, contacts, and messages.
5. Backup with Cloud Services (for Photos and Files):
Cloud storage apps like Google Photos, OneDrive, and Dropbox are great for automatically saving your photos, videos, and documents online, so they’re always safe and easy to access.
For Google Photos:
- Open the app, tap your profile picture, go to Photos settings, then turn on Backup & sync.

7. Restoring Your Data
