Tap and Send faster with the Samsung’s Quick Share Upgrade- Now available for Galaxy S26 series

For several years, it has been difficult to send files between Android and Apple devices. But Samsung is about to make this easier than ever.

It has begun rollout to the first Samsung Galaxy S26 models of a significant update to Quick Share that should greatly improve your ability to share files between these two operating systems.

Bringing cross-platform sharing closer to reality

The updated Quick Share introduces AirDrop-style functionality, making it easier to transfer files across different devices without relying on third-party apps or cloud links.

Until now, sending photos or videos from a Galaxy phone to an iPhone often involved multiple steps and workarounds. While Apple users benefit from seamless transfers via AirDrop, Android users have largely been limited to sharing within their own ecosystem.

Samsung’s latest update aims to close that gap.

One-tap sharing across devices

With the upgrade, Quick Share moves toward a simpler, tap-and-send experience, reducing the friction typically associated with cross-platform transfers.

The feature is designed to work more intuitively, allowing users to send files quickly without switching apps or generating links, a change many users have been waiting for.

Rollout and availability

The update is launching first in South Korea from March 23, with availability in the United States expected later the same week.

For now, the feature is limited to the Galaxy S26 lineup, though Samsung has indicated plans to expand support to more devices over time.

While the update marks a step forward, it also highlights a gap that has existed for years.
