Samsung Galaxy S27 (Rumoured)

The upcoming flagship phone from Samsung, the Galaxy S27, is generating significant excitement despite being months away from release.

Early leaks of the device indicate that the new model will have the same general design; there are some small improvements and one big one: the Exynos 2700 processor could finally compete with current competitors on performance.

When will the New Samsung Galaxy S27 launch?

Samsung has not been able to provide confirmation about any of these dates. However, based on past trends from Samsung, it is likely that the new Samsung Galaxy S27 Family will be launched sometime in February of 2027.

The typical pattern for Samsung to hold their Galaxy Unpacked events has been mid-week; this leads many to believe that tethered dates of February 17 and 24 could be approaching.

The new Galaxy S27 family will come in three variations- standard, Plus and Ultra and will all be available in conjunction with one another,  just like previous releases by Samsung.

Price Expectations

There’s no solid pricing leak so far, but don’t expect big surprises. Samsung increased prices with the Galaxy S26 series, so the safest bet is that the S27 lineup will retain similar pricing.

That said, Samsung will likely offset costs with trade-in deals, bank offers, and pre-order bonuses, something it consistently does during flagship launches.

Exynos 2700: The Big Upgrade

The biggest upgrade could come under the hood. The Galaxy S27 is expected to feature Samsung’s next-gen Exynos 2700 chip in select markets, while others may still get a Snapdragon variant.

Early rumours suggest the Exynos 2700 could be built on a 2nm process, offering around 12% better performance and up to 25% improved power efficiency. If true, this could finally address long-standing concerns about Exynos chips lagging behind Snapdragon counterparts.

Performance, RAM and Battery

Leaks hint at 12GB RAM as standard, with higher-end variants possibly offering 16GB. Storage options are expected to start at 256GB, going up to 512GB or even 1TB for premium models.

Battery-wise, the Galaxy S27 could pack a 4,300mAh battery with 25W wired charging and 15W wireless charging. The S27 Plus may step up to a 4,900mAh battery with faster 45W wired charging.

Design and Display

Don’t expect a major redesign. Samsung is likely to refine the existing Galaxy S26 look, sticking with a glass-and-metal build and IP68 rating.

The standard S27 may feature a 6.3-inch AMOLED display, while the S27 Plus could retain its larger 6.9-inch panel. New colour options are expected, but overall, the design language will likely stay familiar.

Camera Setup

Camera hardware may remain largely unchanged for the standard and models. Current leaks point to a 50MP main sensor, 12MP ultra-wide, 10MP telephoto (3x zoom) and 12MP front camera.

Most major camera upgrades are expected to be reserved for the Galaxy S27 Ultra.

Software and AI Features

The Galaxy S27 series is expected to run Android 17 with Samsung’s One UI 9.5 on top. Improvements will likely focus on smoother performance, UI refinements, and deeper AI integration.

Samsung’s Galaxy AI features- like smarter assistants, real-time search, and personalized suggestions are expected to carry forward, with further enhancements rather than a complete overhaul.

At this stage, the Galaxy S27 looks more like a refined upgrade than a radical shift. The design may stay familiar, and cameras may not see huge changes, but the real story could be the Exynos 2700 chip.
