Samsung is set to delight Galaxy device users with the One UI 8 update. The South Korean tech giant has already begun the One UI 8 beta program for select Galaxy devices, and the stable release is likely to happen this summer.
One UI 8: Rollout Date
The exact date for the UI 8 Update has not been confirmed by the brand but it is expected to take place in July. The update is tipped to be introduced during or right after the Galaxy Unpacked event, where the next-generation foldables, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Z Fold 7, are expected to be unveiled.
One UI 8: What To Expect
The One UI 8 is set to offer several new features, including enhanced security, productivity and better accessibility.
Quick Share will become faster to make file sharing easier. An improved My Files app will make download more convenient. The new split-screen mode will allow users to partially minimise one app to keep it in view while focusing on another, thus boosting multitasking.
Samsung DeX has also been bettered. If the phone is connected to a monitor, users will be able to adjust screen resolution up to WQHD and rotate the display in various directions for better flexibility.
The Calendar and Reminder apps have been redesigned to streamline task management, while sample reminders and quick entry options have been added to make planning easier.
On the Camera app, a new swipe gesture makes it quicker to access controls from the viewfinder. Calls can be recorded and reviewed directly from the Contacts app.

Samsung Health will now support running challenges in addition to step tracking, and users can set up reminders to log meals to keep a tab on their calorie intake.
For enhanced security, Secure Folder now offers more visibility controls and deeper privacy settings. This has been aided by hiding apps and encrypting the folder entirely when locked.
More control options for screen zoom, mouse navigation through a keyboard, and easier Bluetooth pairing for hearing aids are other improvements for wider accessibility.
