Vivo X Fold 5 is all set for its debut which is slated later this month. The model arrives as a successor to the Vivo X Fold 5. While the official reveal is awaited, the company has teased some of its specifications online.
The Vivo X Fold 5 is confirmed to feature a larger capacity battery than its predecessor. It is said to function even in extremely low temperatures and is tipped to come with a periscope telephoto camera.
Vivo X Fold 5 Specifications: What to expect
As per the official images shared by Vivo on social media platform Weibo, the X Fold 5 is set to feature a 6,000mAh Blue Ocean battery, with support for 90W fast charging and 30W wireless charging, the most powerful for any foldable till date.
For context, the Vivo X Fold 3 came with a 5,500mAh battery and 80W wired charging support, while the upcoming Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 7 is said to ship with a 4,400mAh battery.
Vivo is rumoured to have integrated fourth-generation silicon-carbon anode technology with up to 12 percent silicon content, making it the company’s first to adopt second-gen semi-solid-state battery tech, enabling it to function even at -30 degrees Celsius.
The phone is tipped to use 8T LTPO panels on both the inner and outer screens, offering a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate and up to 4,500 nits peak brightness. Both displays are also expected to support TV Rheinland’s global eye protection and Zeiss Master colour certification.
The new Vivo model is expected to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, paired with up to 16GB RAM and 512GB storage. The camera setup is likely to house a 50-megapixel triple rear camera system. It is poised to ship with a unique periscope telephoto lens, supporting both long-range zoom and telephoto macro shots. It is said to enable full-focus portrait capabilities for a versatile imaging experience.
The Vivo X Fold 5 is rated IP5X for dust protection and IPX9+ for water resistance.

The highlight of the device is that Vivo X Fold 5 may offer support for Apple’s ecosystem. The phone might be able to connect with Apple Watch, AirPods, iPhone calls, messages, and iCloud services.
The brand claims that the Vivo X Fold 5 will break the Vivo X Fold 3’s record of being the world’s lightest foldable phone, which weighs 219 grams. The new smartphone will weigh around 209 grams. It is tipped to be one of the slimmest foldable phones. As per reports, its thickness will be 4.3mm and 9.3mm in the unfolded and folded states, respectively.

Vivo X Fold 5 Specifications: Launch Date and Availability
The teasers show the phone in Quingsong (white), Baibai (green) and Titanium (black) colourways.
Vivo X Fold 5 will launch in China on June 25 at 7pm local time. The company is accepting pre-orders in the country via the Vivo online store and e-commerce websites.
