Does it seem like you have been scrolling forever, looking for something to view? Same!
After finishing an excellent series, you go to your streaming apps, and there is nothing you want to click on. Apple appears to have decided to make this situation better!
According to reports, the new Apple TV service called “Genius Browse” will be added to the platform with the next update to your Apple TV and may alter the way you discover content.
What Is “Genius Browse”?
Instead of throwing random recommendations at you, Genius Browse is designed to organise content into mood-based and theme-based categories in your Apple TV.
So instead of searching blindly, you’ll see sections like Daring Fantasy Adventures, Good for Date Night, Action-Packed Sci-Fi, Based on a Book and Thrilling or Sports Stories.
Tap on the category you want to see, and you will instantly get a list of shows and movies that fit that vibe. Go one level deeper, and you will get even more related suggestions.
It’s basically turning “what should I watch?” into a much quicker decision.
Many platforms are suggesting material, but to be honest, their quality is inconsistent. Apple has done things differently in terms of their recommendations, which is the way they have organized them.
It Works Across Multiple Streaming Apps
This is where it gets interesting. Genius Browse doesn’t just show content from Apple TV+. It also pulls recommendations from other platforms, like HBO Max, Prime Video and Disney+
So instead of jumping between apps, you get a more unified discovery experience in one place.
The only thing missing from this integration is Netflix. If that’s your main app, this feature won’t fully solve your problem.
When Is It Coming?
Right now, the feature has been spotted in a beta version of Apple’s TV software (tvOS 26.4). That usually means it’s still being tested, but likely to roll out in a future update.
No exact release date is out yet, but it’s clearly on the way.
