Apple Rolls Out iOS 18.2 with Advanced AI Features: Apple released the iOS 18.2 update this week, bringing the second version of its AI features, called Apple Intelligence, to the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 16 series. While popular features like ChatGPT integration with Siri, Genmoji, and Visual Intelligence have received a lot of attention, one important feature in this update hasn’t been talked about as much.

Find My Gets a Major Upgrade for Lost Items
The iOS 18.2 update has significantly improved the Find My feature, letting users share the location of lost items to make finding them easier. In the Find My app, users can select “Share Item Location” to create a link and share it with friends or authorities. Notably, the recipient can view the lost item’s location even if they don’t use an Apple device.

The shared link automatically expires after a week or once the item is found. There’s also a new “Show Contact Info” option in the Find My app. When turned on, it lets the person with the link see the owner’s contact details, like their phone number and email, on a webpage.

The iOS 18.2 update is available for all devices that support iOS 18. However, the Apple Intelligence features are exclusive to the iPhone 16 series and last year’s iPhone 15 Pro models.
