Buckle up, we’re heading straight back to Hill Valley, 1985, because Casio has just dropped a Back to the Future-themed twist on one of its most iconic watches.
This launch celebrates 40 years since the very first Back to the Future film hit cinemas, and let’s be honest, we’ve never stopped loving the adventures of Marty McFly and Doc Brown.
Now, thanks to Casio’s latest collaboration with the film’s franchise, there’s a brand-new way to wear that nostalgia on your wrist – a timepiece that’s both stylish and retro-futuristic in the best possible way.
A Classic Reimagined
Inspired by the legendary Casio CA-53, the same model worn by Michael J. Fox as Marty McFly, the new Casio CA-500WEBF-1A keeps that familiar calculator-watch charm but with a Back to the Future twist. It features nostalgic push buttons and a dial design that takes cues from Doc Brown’s DeLorean.
Retro Design Meets Movie Magic
Made from polished stainless steel, this limited-edition watch is packed with clever little details that fans will love. The dial mirrors the look of the DeLorean’s time-travel dashboard, complete with multicoloured buttons that nod to the car’s bright controls.
There’s also an ‘Outatime’ engraving, paying tribute to the DeLorean’s famous number plate. Flip the watch over, and you’ll find the flux capacitor – the key to time travel in the movie – etched neatly onto the caseback.
Even the Packaging is a Throwback
Casio didn’t stop at the watch itself. It comes packaged in a VHS cassette tape-inspired box with an outer sleeve to match, making it a fun, nostalgic keepsake from start to finish.
Limited Edition Launch
The Casio CA-500WEBF-1A officially goes on sale on 21 October 2025, which just happens to be Back to the Future Day. But be warned – only a limited number of these watches will be available. So if you’re hoping to snag one, you’ll need to act fast. And if you miss out, well… sadly, there’s no time machine to take you back.
