Samsung has now launched its special customization tool Good Lock globally on the Google Play Store for Galaxy devices. Earlier, this feature was only available in a few selected countries through the Galaxy Store, but now it is available in more countries.
What is Good Lock and why is it special?
Good Lock is a tool that helps Samsung Galaxy users to personalize and control their phones in their own way. It has many types of plug-ins like Home Up, LockStar, NotiStar, etc., which allow users to change the phone’s interface.
Now with the arrival of the One UI 7 update, Good Lock has also got a new design. It now has two main sections – “Extensions” and “Gestures” – shown as small bubbles. Below that, there is a list of all available plug-ins.
New design and features
Now it has a new “You” tab where users can easily see their Favorites and Settings in Effect. Also, its new banner now shows the “Your Galaxy Your Way” tagline with a purple to pink gradient, which makes it look more attractive.
One UI 7 and device compatibility
Although Play Store is showing some problems with Galaxy device compatibility. For example, Galaxy S25 is visible, but installing it on Galaxy S24 and Fold 6 is not working for some users. According to reports, if your phone is running One UI 7, then Good Lock should work. But some devices may still not support it completely.
So if you are facing issues while installing from the Play Store, it’s better to try it from the Galaxy Store.
Preparation already started before
Samsung had already given hints in January that it was planning to launch Good Lock globally. Now, this update has finally reached users around the world.
In March, the company also gave a small update to Good Lock, in which it fixed the description of some features and made the language simpler.
Is it for Galaxy S25 Ultra too?
Samsung’s new Galaxy S25 Ultra is a powerful phone with Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC, a 6.9-inch QHD Plus AMOLED display, and a triple camera setup. But Good Lock is still not working properly on this device. Some users tried to install it but the app didn’t support it.
Good Lock is now globally available on the Google Play Store, but some device-related problems are still there. We hope Samsung will fix these soon. If you are a Galaxy user and want to use your phone your way, then Good Lock is a very useful tool.
