Samsung Electronics introduces its latest collection of earbuds, the Galaxy Buds4. There are various improvements in relation to the quality of sound, comfort and smart functions.

The Galaxy Buds4 is available as a complementation of the Galaxy Buds4 Pro, both having superior audio, noise cancellation and fit for daily use.

Samsung’s two main focuses of the new Bud4 series of products are quality audio and comfort to wear.

According to reports, the Bud4 series was designed specifically for comfort and reliability over long durations, but has also been manufactured with superior audio fidelity.

A New Design Focused on Comfort

The Galaxy Buds4 series introduces a refined “blade” design that looks sleek and modern. Samsung developed this shape using extensive ear data and thousands of simulations to ensure a better fit.

The Buds4 Pro comes with a canal-fit design for deeper sound isolation and enhanced performance. The standard Buds4 features an open-fit design for users who prefer a lighter and more breathable feel.

Both models are available in Black and White with a matte finish. The Buds4 Pro also comes in an online-exclusive Pink Gold option. The charging case has a transparent, clamshell-style design that makes it easy to store and charge the earbuds.

Bigger Speakers, Richer Sound

The new, larger woofer is one of the biggest advantages of the Galaxy Buds4 Pro. The larger surface area produces more depth of bass and superior quality in the high frequencies, without increasing the size of the woofer. Per Samsung, the surface area of the woofer on the Buds4 Pro has been increased by up to 20% over the last generation models.

Using two separate drivers (one woofer and one tweeter), the Buds4 Pro provide a robust and complete full range of sound that can be provided through 24-bit/96 KHz hi-fi audio on a compatible Galaxy device.

The Buds4, while not as capable as the Buds4 Pro, are still capable of providing hi-fi audio and can produce 360-degree audio (with direct multi-channel support) to make movies and music substantially more immersive.

Stronger Noise Cancellation and Smarter Audio

These two sets of headphones come with built-in noise cancellation (Active Noise Cancellation – ANC) to minimise unwanted sounds, such as bangs, whistles, or background noise, allowing users to concentrate on their commute, whether they take public transportation, fly on a plane, or work in a noisy café. The additional ANC provides users with improved noise reduction from low-frequency sounds, including engine noise, but still allows for clear audio.

Adaptive ANC and Adaptive EQ have also been improved. These technologies will analyze the fit of your earbuds and adjust volume levels to achieve the most balance and reduce ambient noise.

Another benefit of the Buds4 series is its Super Clear Call capabilities, which provide clear voice quality through advanced algorithms that utilise machine learning and wideband calling, even in very crowded and noisy locations.

The Buds4 Pro also includes Voice Detect and Siren Detect. When the user begins to talk, the Voice Detect feature will automatically reduce the volume of music playing and increase the sound of the nearby environment. Additionally, the Siren Detect feature will help the listener be more aware of important audio signals, such as emergency vehicle sirens.

Deeper Integration With Galaxy Devices

The Buds4 series works closely with Samsung’s Galaxy ecosystem. Users can activate AI assistants such as Bixby, Google Gemini and Perplexity using voice commands.

Galaxy users can connect the earbuds quickly by simply opening the charging case. Settings such as volume and equaliser adjustments can be accessed directly through the Quick Panel on compatible Galaxy smartphones and tablets.

The Buds4 Pro also supports head gesture controls, allowing users to answer calls or interact with voice assistants without touching their phone.

Battery Life and Connectivity of Galaxy Buds4

Battery performance has also improved.

  • Galaxy Buds4: Up to 5 hours of music playback with ANC on (up to 24 hours total with case).
  • Galaxy Buds4 Pro: Up to 6 hours with ANC on (up to 26 hours total with case).

With ANC turned off, playback time extends further. Both models support Bluetooth 6.1 and Samsung Seamless Codec for high-quality wireless audio transmission.

The earbuds are rated IP54 (Buds4) and IP57 (Buds4 Pro) for water and dust resistance, making them suitable for workouts and daily outdoor use.

Availability

The Galaxy Buds4 series will launch alongside the Galaxy S26 lineup. Pre-orders begin in select markets immediately, with general availability starting March 11.

With improved sound hardware, smarter software features and a more refined design, Samsung’s new Galaxy Buds4 series aims to deliver a more complete and comfortable audio experience for everyday listening.
