The next big flagship from Xiaomi is already creating buzz, and if the latest leaks are even close to accurate, the Xiaomi 18 Pro could be a serious upgrade over its predecessor.
While nothing is official yet, early details hint at a phone that’s focusing heavily on battery life and camera power, two areas users actually care about.
Battery
Xiaomi 17 Pro had a 6300 mAh battery, but it is said that there is a new 7000 mAh battery in the leaked images of the Xiaomi 18 Pro, which represents a significant difference in battery size.
This increase in size is more than just a number; it could potentially provide users with longer periods of screen-on time without needing an external power source, better gaming and performance for high-demand applications, and less anxiety about running out of batteries while travelling or working long hours away from home.
The new battery will easily provide powerful performance and could be one of the most efficient phones available, considering the process by which it is designed, developed, manufactured, and marketed.
Camera Details & Performance
Leaks suggest the Xiaomi 18 Pro could feature a 200MP primary camera and a 200MP periscope telephoto lens.
That’s not something we’ve seen widely in smartphones yet, especially not dual 200MP sensors.
For context, the Xiaomi 17 Pro sticks to a 50MP setup. So this is a massive jump, at least on paper.
So, if these leaks are true, this could mean sharper zoom shots, better detail in photos and stronger competition in the premium camera space.
The phone is also likely to run on a next-gen chip from Qualcomm, possibly the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6.

Display and Design
There are no major changes in terms of design and display. The Xiaomi 18 Pro is likely to stick with a 6.3-inch display, similar to its predecessor. It seems to be focusing more on internal upgrades this time rather than redesigning the phone.
Other Expected Features
Beyond battery and camera, the Xiaomi 18 Pro is expected to include:
- Wireless charging support
- Ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner
- Full waterproof rating
- Rear display (likely carried over from the previous model)
These are not some of the very groundbreaking changes, but together they check all the premium boxes.
Expected Launch Timeline
If Xiaomi follows its usual schedule, the Xiaomi 18 series including the Pro model, could launch around September in China.
The Ultra variant may arrive later, possibly by the end of the year or early 2027.
