At its midrange pricing, the Nothing Phone 3a Pro is an excellent combination of performance, value, and fun, all attributes that the US needs to see in more phones.
Criticised earlier for sub-par Cameras
Nothing, the high-end phone killer company has now changed the game as they have now brought the Telephoto lens to their star-studded phone lineups. Nothing, renowned for budget friendly smartphones with an eye candy display has now worked on their Camera specifications as well.
They were criticised earlier for sub-par cameras on the early Nothing phones as they used to over-expose images and bring out very colour boosted photos.
Camera
This has been changed as they have heard what the customers have been saying. The 3a Pro has triple camera setup on the back with an 8-megapixel ultrawide, a 50MP main and a 50MP 3x telephoto lens.
The ultrawide lens produces okayish images as it does the job but fails to produce sharp images.
But the Telephoto lens takes the crown as it produces crisp images and has excellent 3x zoom feature that has great functionality as it can go up to 10x zoom but that does not produce as good photos as the 3x feature does.
Nothing OS
Nothing phone enjoyers are familiar with the dot matrix aesthetic and the option to choose between a more stylized version of Android or a stock experience. NothingOS 3.1 running Android 15 is solid, and the company promises 3 years of OS upgrades and 6 years of security updates.
Performance
The 3a Pro is equipped with Qualcomm’s mid-range Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chip, which is quick enough to make the phone feel responsive and snappy but cannot compete with the big boys. It is good for everyday usage of social media and light gaming but simply cannot perform heavy duty tasks such as continuous high-frame gaming. It is roughly 25% quicker than the Phone 2a and can run the majority of games without overheating.
Essential Space is Nothing’s answer to Samsung’s Now Brief. It’s an AI-enhanced app for organizing content and events.
Battery
With normal use, including more than seven hours of active screen time, the battery lasts for around three days between charges. People with less to moderate usage should only need to charge it every other day.
Display
The Nothing Phone 3a Pro’s panel is no exception. It’s a bright 6.77-inch AMOLED 1080p screen that refreshes at 120 Hz. The screen has adequate outside brightness.

The Nothing Phone 3a Pro costs £449 (€459/$459/A$849).
