Spotify, the world’s biggest streaming service, has rolled out a new mini feature that updates every week. Called Listening Stats, it gives music fans a quick look at what they’ve been playing recently.
A Snapshot of Your Week in Music
With Listening Stats, you’ll get a top five list of your most-played artists from the past week. It even shows how long your number-one artist has stayed at the top and whether others have moved up or down your personal charts. You can check out a similar list for your most-played songs, too.
The tool also shares extra insights, such as how many hours you’ve spent listening on Spotify and any streaks you’ve kept up. Anything surprising or fun can be shared with friends right from the app.
As Spotify explains, “It’s all about exploring your unique music taste and maybe uncovering something new along the way, just like you do with daylist, Release Radar, and Discover Weekly.”
No, It’s Not Replacing Spotify Wrapped
Listening Stats isn’t taking the place of the hugely popular Spotify Wrapped. Wrapped will still be the big annual event you can expect every December, offering deeper insights and shareable visuals.
Spotify hasn’t revealed when Wrapped 2025 will arrive yet. Traditionally, it shows up in the first week of December, although some years it has launched in late November. Last year, Spotify Wrapped dropped on December 4, which was the latest release in four years.
How to View Your Spotify Listening Stats
Finding your weekly stats is simple. Open the Spotify app, tap your profile picture in the top left corner, and you should see Listening Stats in the menu. The feature is now available to both Free and Premium listeners in more than 60 countries, including the UK.
It’s designed to give users a fun, interactive report throughout the year, instead of waiting for the big Wrapped reveal.

What Listening Stats Actually Shows
Listening Stats offers a rundown of your top artists and songs from the past four weeks and even builds playlists based on what you’ve been into recently, similar to Wrapped. Spotify describes the idea by saying:
“At Spotify, we’re always finding new ways to bring you closer to the music that moves you, turning sound into something personal.
From the playlists that match your mood to the tracks that take you back, your story unfolds one song at a time, wherever you are.
Now we’re introducing Listening Stats to help you relive your week in music in a fun, shareable snapshot.”
The platform adds, “Each week, it also includes a special highlight that captures what makes your listening unique, whether it’s a milestone, a new discovery, or a fan moment.”
Spotify continues, “It’s all about exploring your unique music taste and maybe uncovering something new along the way, just like you do with daylist, Release Radar, and Discover Weekly.”
Accessing Your Stats in the App
To check your Listening Stats, just tap your profile image to open the menu and select the “listening stats” tab. There you’ll find your top artists, favorite songs, and other personalized insights. Sharing your stats is easy as well, whether you want to send them to friends on Spotify or post them on Instagram, WhatsApp, and more.
When to Expect Spotify Wrapped 2025
Spotify Wrapped first appeared in 2016, building on the earlier Year in Music experience from 2015. It’s become a yearly tradition, delivering a detailed breakdown of everything users listened to over the year.
As for Wrapped 2025, there’s no official date yet, but for reference, the 2024 edition came out on December 4.
