When we talk about global digital leadership, Qatar is no longer behind. Preparations for MWC25 Doha in November 2025 are going on in full swing. For the first time, a global tech event like Mobile World Congress is coming to the MENA region. The event is being organised by GSMA and Qatar’s Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) and will be held on 25–26 November at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center (DECC).

Delegates from 60 Countries to Join, 40 Percent Will Be at Director Level or Above
This two-day mega event will bring together tech leaders, policymakers, investors, and entrepreneurs from over 60 countries. Almost 40 percent of the participants will be at the director level or higher. There will be not just displays, but also deep discussions and new ideas, with tech exhibitions, panel talks, and networking areas.
Mannai, Cisco, Nokia Already Confirmed – South Korea and Türkiye Pavilion Also Ready
Big names like Mannai, Cisco, and Nokia are already confirmed as exhibitors. South Korea and Türkiye will also set up national pavilions to show their innovations. Ooredoo is the Strategic Partner of the event, and Qatar University is the Educational Partner. This is the first time an MWC event has included a university partner.
What Qatar’s Leaders Said – MWC25 to Support Vision 2030
Minister Mohammed bin Ali Al Mannai believes the event will highlight Qatar’s growing role in global digital innovation. This is all part of Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani’s vision to build a future-ready, knowledge-based economy. The minister said this is a great chance to connect with top global innovators and create partnerships that will have real impact.
GSMA Director General Vivek Badrinath also said they are excited to bring MWC to Qatar, as the region is pushing ahead with digital development. MWC25 Doha will be a platform for startups, governments, and tech leaders to work together and move things forward.
4YFN and GSMA Ministerial Program to Bring Barcelona’s Popular Features to Doha
Popular features from MWC Barcelona will also be part of this event. 4YFN (Four Years From Now) will act as a startup hub where founders and investors can meet and work on new ideas. The GSMA Ministerial Program will bring together regional and international policymakers for closed-door meetings, policy talks, and focused networking sessions to shape the region’s digital future.
AI Nexus, Intelligent Economies, and Connected Industries – MWC25 Focuses on the Future
The event agenda will focus on how new technologies are changing the economy and society. The AI Nexus theme will talk about how AI is changing business and government. Intelligent Economies will look at smart networks, data privacy, and future-ready digital systems. Connected Industries will show how sectors like mobility, finance, logistics, and energy are using new technologies.
