The company usually holds two big Galaxy Unpacked events each year – one early on for the Galaxy S series (like this year’s Galaxy S25), and another mid-year where the spotlight shifts to its foldable phones, including the upcoming Z Fold and Flip models.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7: Display and Design Upgrades Rumors

The Galaxy Z Fold 7 is expected to follow last year’s special edition Fold 6, which was bigger, faster, thinner, and lighter. It may have an 8.2-inch foldable screen, a 6.5-inch cover display, and be as thin as 3.9mm when open, making it the thinnest Fold yet.

The screen will likely stay similar with a 120Hz refresh rate and less noticeable crease.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7: Camera Features and Improvements

On the camera side, the big upgrade is a massive 200MP main sensor, replacing the usual 50MP. The rest of the cameras: 12MP ultrawide, 10MP telephoto (3x zoom), 10MP selfie, and 4MP under-display selfie, should stay the same.

For performance, the phone will run on the powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, with up to 16GB RAM and 1TB storage. This chip promises desktop-level power with mobile efficiency, helping the phone make good use of its 4,400 mAh battery, which supports 15W wireless and 25W wired charging.

All in all, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 looks set to be thinner, faster, and pack some serious upgrades.

Leaks about the Galaxy Z Fold 7 are coming fast ahead of July’s Galaxy Unpacked event. The phone promises to be more premium and durable, running One UI 8 on Android 16. Owners might get free access to Google’s AI Pro service. We’ll know more once Samsung officially reveals it next month, but early reports look promising.
