ChatGPT On WhatsApp: OpenAI has launched a ChatGPT integration with WhatsApp, allowing users in the US to interact with the AI chatbot directly on the Meta-owned messaging app. This is part of a series of recent announcements from OpenAI, with this feature being a key step in making ChatGPT more accessible.
How To Activate The ChatGPT On Whatsapp:
With over 2.7 billion active users worldwide, WhatsApp is an important platform for OpenAI to reach more people, especially with the increasing competition from Meta’s AI tools. WhatsApp’s large user base and popularity in regions with limited access to high-speed internet make it a great choice for expanding AI.
“People in areas with limited data can now access AI-powered assistance without requiring the web-heavy infrastructure of the ChatGPT app,” OpenAI stated.

Follow The Below Mentioned Step To Activate ChatGPT On Whatsapp:
Users can activate the ChatGPT service on WhatsApp by messaging or calling the US number 1-1800-242-8478.

While text chats are available worldwide, including in India, the voice call feature is currently only available in the US and Canada, according to media reports.
Yes, you read that right. For users in the U.S., an additional feature allows voice calls with ChatGPT, leveraging OpenAI’s Realtime API to create a dynamic, conversational experience.
OpenAI gives users 15 minutes of free voice interaction with ChatGPT each month. No separate account is needed for WhatsApp, making it easy to use. In the future, OpenAI may add account features like chat history.
The WhatsApp integration allows text chats with ChatGPT, but group chats aren’t supported yet. Users have a daily message limit, with notifications when they’re close to it.

OpenAI prioritizes privacy, ensuring ChatGPT won’t start calls or messages. Future updates may include features like ChatGPT Search, image interactions, and memory logs to improve the user experience, especially for productivity and creativity.
This rollout comes as Meta has also launched its own AI chatbot on WhatsApp, creating an interesting overlap in AI options on the platform.
In other news, OpenAI has made its ChatGPT-powered internet search available to all users, increasing competition with Google’s long-standing control of the search engine market.
