Finally, a Magnetic System – Google Pixelsnap for Android Users: For years, Android fans have been jealous of iPhone users and their handy MagSafe accessories. Snapping on a charger, stand, or wallet with magnets built right into the phone has been super convenient – and something Android has been missing. But now, Google is finally stepping in with its own version.

Meet Google Pixelsnap:
Say hello to Pixelsnap: a new lineup of magnetic Qi2.2 accessories made just for the Pixel 10 family. Just like MagSafe, Pixelsnap lets you snap on wireless chargers, stands, grips, and more, thanks to built-in magnetic rings on every Pixel 10 model. Charging speeds go up to 25W, although the Pixel 10, 10 Pro, and 10 Pro Fold top out at 15W. The bigger Pixel 10 Pro XL, on the other hand, gets the full 25W treatment.
First-Party Accessories (and Compatibility With MagSafe)
At its recent Made by Google event, the company showed off the first official Pixelsnap accessories: a magnetic charger, a magnetic stand, and even a little magnetic ring tool. The really exciting part, though? Pixelsnap also works with MagSafe accessories from Apple and brands like Belkin. That’s bigger news than it sounds.
Apple hasn’t been keeping MagSafe to itself. In fact, it helped create the Qi2 wireless charging standard back in 2023, which uses magnets to make wireless charging faster and easier.

Why This Matters for Android Phones
Up until now, the only Android phone with magnets built in for proper Qi2 support was the HMD Skyline. Other big names – like the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra and OnePlus 13 – support Qi2 charging, but since they don’t have magnets inside, you need a special case or stick-on ring to actually use magnetic accessories.
That’s what makes the Pixel 10 series such a standout. These are the first mainstream Android phones to launch with a built-in MagSafe-style alignment system. For once, Google has managed to get ahead of Samsung, OnePlus, and Motorola in a big way.
More Pixel 10 Upgrades
Of course, the Pixel 10 lineup comes with plenty of other upgrades, too: new AI-powered camera tricks, a dedicated telephoto lens on the base model, and an IP68 rating for the Pixel 10 Pro Fold. But honestly? Pixelsnap might just be the most exciting upgrade of them all.
