This iPod-Style Music Player Looks And Feels Familiar But Costs Way Less: There’s something about the iPod that many of us still miss. Sure, our phones can play music just fine, and it makes sense why Apple moved on. But it’s hard to replace the simple joy of that clicky wheel and listening to music without constant notifications or distractions.
It turns out we’re not the only ones feeling nostalgic. Instead of just wishing the iPod would come back, one company has actually gone ahead and made a modern take on it. The result is a USB-C music player that looks and feels a lot like the iPod Classic. And yes, it even has a click wheel.
What Is the Innioasis Y1?
Spotted by TechRadar, the Innioasis Y1 is an MP3 player that wears its iPod Classic inspiration proudly. In fact, it’s so close to the original design that you could easily call it a clone.
The player comes in five colour options: grey, yellow, orange, silver, and turquoise. Each version features a colour display at the top, with a control wheel placed just below it.
A Familiar Click Wheel Experience:
The wheel works much like the one on the Apple iPod Classic. You can press different sections to select options and spin it to scroll through your music library, giving it that old-school feel many people miss.
In terms of storage, the Innioasis Y1 offers 128GB, which should be enough for a decent music collection, though it isn’t expandable. Charging is handled via USB-C, and there’s also a 3.5mm headphone jack for anyone who still prefers wired headphones.

Battery Life and Audio Options:
When using wired headphones at 50% volume, Innioasis claims the Y1 can deliver between 25 and 30 hours of music playback on a single charge. You can also pair it with Bluetooth headphones or connect it to a Bluetooth speaker, although the exact Bluetooth version hasn’t been specified.
Video Playback and Extras:
The Innioasis Y1 isn’t just for music. It can also play video files in MP4, MKV, and MOV formats, along with 3GP and 3G2. Video resolution tops out at 720p, which is fine for casual viewing.
Battery life drops significantly when watching video, though. At 50% brightness, it’s rated for around four hours, so it’s unlikely to replace your phone for watching clips or movies.
A Budget Way to Relive the iPod Era:
If you’re looking for an affordable MP3 player that brings back the feel of the iPod days, the Innioasis Y1 could be just what you’re after. Right now, it’s priced at under £45 on Amazon, down from its usual £59.99.
In the US, it’s available for around $55 as well. For anyone craving a simple, distraction-free music player with a nostalgic twist, this little device might hit the right notes.
