After the strong showing of the OnePlus 15, OnePlus is getting ready to launch a new pair of gaming-focused smartphones under the Turbo branding. The company has now shared an official teaser video that gives us our first proper look at what these devices will look like.
The teaser was posted on the Chinese social media platform Weibo by OnePlus, via 9to5Google. It confirms the names of two upcoming models: the Turbo 6 and the Turbo 6V. While the video doesn’t explain how the two phones differ, it’s likely that one will offer more power or higher-end specs than the other.
Four Colors and a Tough Build:
From the video, we can spot at least four color options: silver, black, pale green, and pale blue. One scene shows the phone being blasted with dust and water, which strongly suggests that these Turbo models will carry an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.
The teaser also highlights a couple of key features. One is a 165 Hz display, which should make gaming feel smooth and responsive. The other big talking point is the battery. OnePlus confirms a massive 9,000 mAh battery, something that had already been rumored and is now official.

Launch Date Set for January:
Design-wise, OnePlus seems to be sticking close to the clean and stylish look of the OnePlus 15. The phones have a simple, modern appearance that’s easy on the eyes and very much in line with the brand’s recent design language.
The Turbo phones were first teased earlier this month, when OnePlus said they would focus heavily on gaming and deliver “frighteningly strong” performance. However, details about the processor, RAM, and other core specs are still under wraps.
What We Know So Far:
OnePlus has confirmed that both the Turbo 6 and Turbo 6V will be officially unveiled on Thursday, January 8. The initial launch will take place in China, with no word yet on international availability or pricing. As with most OnePlus devices, a wider global release may follow later.
With more than a week to go before the launch, there’s a good chance OnePlus will share more teasers and details in the days ahead. Stepping into the gaming phone space is a bold move, especially with so many strong competitors already out there, but OnePlus clearly seems confident in what it’s about to deliver.
