11 Apple Features You Didn’t See At WWDC But Should Know About
Apple New Features in iOS 26, macOS 26 and AirPods include 11 hidden tools not shown at WWDC. Here's what you’ll actually be using soon.

Apple New Features: 11 new tools coming to iOS 26, macOS 26 and AirPods that Apple did not show during WWDC
Apple introduced many new software and design updates during the WWDC 2025 keynote, but some features did not make it to the stage due to time limit. All these hidden tools will be rolled out for iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, AirPods and Vision Pro by the end of this year as a free software update.
The latest set of Apple New Features includes updates for performance, privacy, audio, battery and productivity. And the best part is that all these updates will be free.
Full battery breakdown will be available on iPhone and iPad

Apple has made the Battery section in iOS 26 and iPadOS 26 smarter. Now you will be able to see which app is using how much battery, and whether your usage is higher or lower than average. In the Settings > Battery section, you will also see how much time is left for your phone to fully charge, along with the current percentage.
Now the battery usage will show a full weekly view instead of 24 hours or 10 days. If you scroll down, you will see battery usage for the entire week. The app that used the most battery will be listed with its name and its impact on your usage.
iPhone will warn you if the camera is dirty
In the iPhone Camera app, a new alert will appear before you tap the shutter telling you to clean the back lens. This warning will appear at the top of the viewfinder with the message “Clean Back Camera.” This feature will work when there is dust or fingerprints on the lens.
You can now set alarm snooze time as you like
Earlier, hitting snooze used to delay the alarm by 9 minutes. But now, in iOS 26, you can choose a custom snooze time from 1 minute to 15 minutes. If you are wearing an Apple Watch, the same snooze time will work there as well with haptic feedback.
Video recording with AirPods will now be easier
If you have H2 chip powered AirPods or AirPods Pro, you can press and hold the stem to start video recording directly from the Camera app on your iPhone. This is useful for users who do not own an Apple Watch.
Apple has also improved the mic quality of AirPods. Now interviews, podcasts or outdoor content will be recorded with better sound even in noisy places. This is possible because of the AI-powered Voice Isolation feature.
Spam and OTPs will be moved to a separate folder in Messages and Phone apps
Apple has redesigned the Messages and Phone apps in iOS 26 so that you will only see personal messages and calls. OTPs, scams and promotional texts will be automatically moved to a separate folder. Your main chat screen will stay clean and focused.
New white noise sounds will help with focus and sleep
Apple has added more ambient sound options to its existing white noise feature. In iOS 26, new tracks like “Rain on Rooftops,” “Aeroplane,” “Crackling Fire” and “Quiet Nights” are now available. You can play them on the phone speaker or Bluetooth earbuds, either continuously or with a timer.
Launchpad is removed from macOS 26 and replaced by “Applications”
Apple has removed Launchpad from macOS 26. In its place, a new tool called “Applications” has been added where you can find all your Mac apps grouped by category. These categories include Productivity, Social and Entertainment.
At the top, there will be a “Suggested” section where AI will recommend apps based on your habits. You can also choose to arrange apps alphabetically if you want.
Reminders app will turn webpages and emails into a To-Do list
In macOS 26 and iOS 26, Apple Intelligence will allow you to select any webpage, email or PDF and convert it into a checklist inside the Reminders app. This AI will even sort the tasks into categories for you.
This entire process works offline as well, because it runs on your device without needing the internet. So you can use it even during a flight.
AirPods will pause audio when you fall asleep
If you listen to music, podcasts or audiobooks before bed, iOS 26 brings a new feature for you. As soon as your AirPods detect that you have fallen asleep, the audio will automatically pause. You just have to enable this once in the Settings.
Passwords app will now show full password history
Apple has updated the Passwords app with a new Liquid Glass design. Now it will show all the previous passwords used for each online account, along with the date they were changed. This data will stay encrypted and will sync across all your Apple devices.
If you ever need to go back to an old password, this feature will help you find it quickly.
Messages app now supports search in normal language
If you want to find a photo, number or message in your Messages app, iOS 26 now lets you search in normal language. For example, you can type “the address I sent mom” or “photos of niece in family group” and Apple Intelligence will find the result based on context.
This feature was earlier available in the Photos app and is now just as useful in Messages.
When will the Public Beta be available?
Apple released the OS 26 developer beta on June 13. The public beta will be available from the second week of July. All users will get the free update by the end of this year.
This time, Apple New Features include something for every device user, whether you use an iPhone, Mac or AirPods. Apple has focused on design, battery, privacy and productivity in a big way. With these updates, the Apple ecosystem will feel more intelligent and personal.
