A Complete Guide To Using Microsoft Edge Game Assist On Windows: Microsoft is about to launch a new Xbox Game Bar feature called Edge Assist. This overlay will let players search for guides, listen to music, or chat with friends while playing. It’s a special version of the Edge browser that can be pinned to the top of the game screen. You can use it to open websites like Spotify, Discord, YouTube, and more, just like a regular browser.

Edge Assist is now available in an opt-in public preview for users with Microsoft Edge Beta, version 132. Below is a step-by-step guide on how to get the feature on your Windows device. Make sure both Windows and Game Bar are updated to the latest version.

For the unversed, currently, Game Assist only works with a mouse and keyboard. Microsoft has said it will add support for controllers and Windows handheld devices, like the ROG Ally, in the future. They also plan to add a Compact Mode.
