Samsung Teases Exciting New Galaxy AI Features Before S Series Launch

With less than a week to go before the Galaxy Unpacked 2025 event, Samsung has released an exciting teaser of the new Galaxy AI features powered by generative Artificial Intelligence (gen AI).
Samsung Teases Galaxy AI Features Ahead of Galaxy Unpacked 2025
In the video (below), a Galaxy S user talks to Galaxy AI. She asks it to find the closest pet-friendly Italian restaurant with outdoor seating and share the details with her friends. She also asks it to set a reminder on her calendar. The conversation feels natural, like talking to another person.
Based on the teasers, Samsung is promising better integration of Galaxy AI in the Galaxy S25 series for an improved user experience. They also revealed that the Galaxy AI-powered Sketch to Image feature will improve with the Android 15-based One UI 7 on the Galaxy S25.
Users will be able to do more than just draw a rough sketch and let Sketch to Image finish it. For example, you can quickly draw a basic image of a cat using the S Pen (on the Galaxy S Ultra version) or your finger (on other Galaxy S devices), and then let Sketch to Image complete it.

After that, you can add more effects with text or voice commands, like saying “Add space suit to the cat.” The Galaxy AI-powered app will then create a cat wearing an astronaut suit.
“With One UI 7, Samsung’s first integrated AI platform, Galaxy smartphones will become true AI companions that understand natural language through text, speech, and images. They will set a new standard of multimodal mobile AI for unprecedented creativity,” the company said.
All the new Galaxy AI features will first be available on the Galaxy S25 series and will later be rolled out to older models, including the Galaxy S24, S24 Plus, S24 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold6, Flip6, and more later this year.
Samsung is set to start the Galaxy Unpacked 2025 event in San Jose on January 22 at 10:00 am PT (11:30 pm IST). The company is expected to release the Galaxy S25 series in four versions: Galaxy S25, S25 Plus, S25 Slim, and S25 Ultra. The Galaxy S25 Slim will be the first of its kind, featuring a super-thin design. It will have a 6.66-inch screen, Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, and a 4,700mAh battery. The camera setup will include a 200MP main sensor, a 50MP ultrawide sensor, and a 50MP telephoto lens with LED flash.
The Galaxy S25 Ultra will feature a 6.88-inch QHD+ Super AMOLED display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite, 12GB/16GB RAM, 256GB/512GB/1TB storage, and a 5,000mAh battery. It will also have a triple-camera system with a 200MP main sensor, a 12MP telephoto lens, and a 50MP camera with LED flash.
The Galaxy S24 Plus will have similar features to the S24 Slim but will differ in battery size and camera setup. The entry-level Galaxy S24 is expected to have a smaller 6.2-inch dynamic Super AMOLED display, a triple-camera setup with 50MP, 12MP, and 10MP sensors, a 12MP front camera, and a 4,000mAh battery with a 25W charger.
It will run Android 15-based One UI 7.0, with 12GB of RAM, 256GB/512GB of storage, and an Exynos chipset (for international markets) or a Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset (for the US/Canada/China).
