Scheduled Tasks By ChatGPT: A New Way To Streamline Your Work

ChatGPT has introduced a new feature called Scheduled Tasks, which lets users set prompts to run at specific times automatically. This feature is currently available in beta for Plus, Pro, and Team plan users, with plans to offer it to more users soon.
ChatGPT Launches Scheduled Tasks to Enhance Productivity and Automate Work
The new feature, called Scheduled Tasks, allows ChatGPT to carry out tasks for you at a set time, even if you’re offline. Whether it’s sending reminders for important dates or providing daily updates, ChatGPT can now handle tasks without you needing to be actively involved.
How to Use Scheduled Tasks
Open the Tasks Section:
Click on your profile icon in ChatGPT, then select “Tasks” from the menu.
Create a New Task
You can choose from suggested tasks or create your own by typing a prompt, such as, “Remind me about my mom’s birthday on March 13th.”
Confirm Your Task
Once you submit your task, you’ll receive a confirmation. You can then choose when you’d like to receive notifications.
Managing and Editing Tasks
View Tasks
Go to the Tasks section and select “View all tasks” to see your active tasks.
Update or Delete
Click on the three-dot menu next to a task to edit, pause, or delete it. You can also update the schedule or instructions for the task from here.
Notifications and Custom Settings:
You can choose how you want to receive notifications for your tasks:
Push Notifications: Get alerts on your mobile device.
Email Notifications: Receive updates via email when a task is done.
You can adjust these settings in the Notifications section of your Settings.
You can also set your tasks to run at specific times or regularly. ChatGPT will provide a link to the conversation, where you can change the schedule or follow up on any updates.
Usage Limits and Availability:
Currently, you can have up to 10 active tasks at once. If you reach this limit, you will need to pause or delete a task before creating a new one.
Scheduled tasks are available on ChatGPT Web, iOS, Android, and MacOS. The feature will be available on the Windows app in early 2025.
How Scheduled Tasks Are Useful
Scheduled tasks are great for busy people who want to automate things like reminders, daily updates, or practicing skills. This feature helps you stay organized without needing to manually ask ChatGPT every time.
