It is anticipated that the Asus ROG Phone 8 series will be released shortly. It is purported to be the replacement for the ROG Phone 7 series. Nonetheless, a base, a pro, and an ultimate model are anticipated in the next series. Although the company has confirmed the specifications of the next gaming smartphones’ processors, they have not yet disclosed the models’ launch date. Earlier this year, in April, the ROG Phone 7 and ROG Phone 7 Ultimate were introduced. A recent listing on Geekbench revealed some important details about the future phones. According to reports, the top-tier Ultimate model has recently been sighted on the 3C certification site.

According to a MySmartPrice report, the Asus ROG Phone 8 Ultimate, model number ASUS_AI2401_A, has been sighted on the 3C certification website. There is a listing for the phone that indicates it supports 65W rapid charging. Also, it appears that the listing validates the phone’s 5G capability.
Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipsets, which are expected to improve the performance of the phones by up to 30% over the previous processors, are what Asus said will power the ROG Phone 8 versions. There is also a claim that the phones’ battery life and GPU performance would both improve by 20 and 25 percent with the new SoC.

The ROG Phone 8 Ultimate may ship with Android 14 out of the box and up to 16GB of RAM, per a previous Geekbench listing. At launch, the 12GB + 256GB ROG Phone 7 version and the 16GB + 512GB ROG Phone 7 Ultimate were priced in India at Rs. 74,999 and Rs. 99,999, respectively. While the base model is also offered in Phantom Black, both handsets are available in Storm White.
Up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM, up to 512GB of UFS4.0 internal storage, and Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoCs with Adreno 740 GPUs power the ROG Phone 7 variants. Their 32-megapixel front camera sensors and 6.78-inch full-HD+ (2448 x 1080) AMOLED screens are featured.
