File Sharing Between Xiaomi, Apple Devices Becomes Easier With Xiaomi HyperConnect
The new OS brings a wide range of features including lock screen customisations, AI features, privacy options, and other performance enhancements. One among them is the HyperConnect feature, which makes Apple devices compatible with Xiaomi smartphones, allowing the user to share files easily across ecosystems.
Xiaomi announced its latest operating system for its devices- HyperOS 2.0- last month by making its debut on the Xiaomi 15 and 15 Pro.
The new OS brings a wide range of features including lock screen customisations, AI features, privacy options, and other performance enhancements. One among them is the HyperConnect feature, which makes Apple devices compatible with Xiaomi smartphones, allowing the user to share files easily across ecosystems.
Xiaomi showcased the HyperConnect feature in a live demo on how to share files directly with an iPhone, iPad, or MacBook with a single click.

Xiaomi’s Founder and CEO, Lei Jun, posted a video on his official X handle, showcasing the functioning of HyperConnect. In the video, Lei can be seen with a Xiaomi 15 Pro, an iPhone, an iPad, and a MacBook.

The HyperConnect feature enables sharing of any file from the Xiaomi phone to any Apple device. One can click on the share button and select the device to which the files need to be sent to. No additional pairing is required to use the feature, providing for an effortless and flexible way to share files as compared to the hassle of manually sharing files between Android and iOS.
Lei Jun also demonstrated how you can directly open Apple Keynote files on any Xiaomi device with HyperConnect . It can also mirror the screen of a Xiaomi phone on any iPad or MacBook. The feature works over Wi-Fi and both devices need to be connected to the same WiFi network. The initial setup requires a one-time configuration, after which you can seamlessly use the feature across Xiaomi and Apple devices.

Lei mentioned that the company is in the process of developing HyperOS to flawlessly blend with maximum Apple devices as they are very popular among Xiaomi phone users.
Xiaomi HyperConnect Availability
The HyperConnect feature is currently included in HyperOS 2 for the China region only. The company has not revealed any details on its global rollout.
