Huawei unveiled the Nova 13 series in China during the HarmonyOS Next launch event . The lineup includes the Huawei Nova 13 and Nova 13 Pro. The smartphones are packed with enhanced AI photography features and upgraded communication capabilities.
Huawei Nova 13 and Nova 13 Pro come with a 6.7-inch OLED screen with 1084×2412 resolution, 120 Hz refresh rate, 300 Hz touch sampling rate, 1,440 Hz PWM dimming.
The devices are powered by Kirin 8000 chipsets and feature 12GB of RAM. They are backed by 5,000mAh batteries with 100W wired fast charging support. The phones also come with an under-screen fingerprint sensor and stereo speakers.
The models are equipped with 50-megapixel main cameras. The Pro variant comes with a 12-megapixel 3x telephoto camera.
Huawei Nova 13 and Nova 13 Pro arrive with Huawei’s Da Vinci Portrait Engine 2.0 and run on Android 14-based HarmonyOS 4.2 skin.

Display: The Huawei Nova 13 sports a 6.7-inch full-HD+ (2,412 x 1,084 pixels) OLED screen with up to 120Hz refresh rate. On the other hand, the Nova 13 Pro has a 6.76-inch OLED quad-curved display with a 120Hz refresh rate.
Processor/ Storage: The phones are powered by Kirin 8000 chipsets. Although both handsets have 12GB of RAM, the base model supports LPDDR4X, while the Pro option gets LPDDR5 RAM. They ship with Android 14-based HarmonyOS 4.2.
Camera: Huawei Nova 13 packs a 50-megapixel primary rear sensor alongside an 8-megapixel sensor with an ultra-wide lens. The Pro variant, meanwhile, comes with a 50-megapixel main sensor, a 12MP 3x telephoto shooter, and an 8-megapixel macro camera.
Battery: Both Huawei Nova 13 handsets are backed by 5,000mAh batteries with 100W wired fast charging support. The phones can charge up to 50% in just 9 minutes, offering convenience for users on the go.
Connectivity: Connectivity options in the Huawei Nova 13 devices include Wi-Fi, OTG, NFC, Bluetooth 5.2, Beidou satellite communication, and a USB Type-C port. It supports satellite connectivity to send satellite text and picture messages, but only in mainland China.
Both models of the Huawei Nova 13 series integrate Huawei’s Da Vinci Portrait Engine 2.0, supporting intelligent enhancements for skin tone, texture, and background bokeh effects. The devices sport AI features such as AI Best Expression, AI Upscaling, AI Object Removal, and AI Smart Cutout for next-level photo editing.

Huawei Nova 13, Huawei Nova 13 Pro: Availability, Price, Colour Options
Huawei Nova 13 price starts at CNY 2,699 (378 USD, 350 Euro) for the 12GB + 256GB option, while the 512GB and 1TB variants are listed at CNY 2,999 ((421 USD, 389 Euro) and CNY 3,499 (491 USD, 454 Euro), respectively.
Meanwhile, the Nova 13 Pro begins at CNY 3,699 (519 USD) for the base 256GB version. The handset’s 512GB and 1TB options are marked at CNY 3,999 (561 USD) and CNY 4,499 (631 USD) respectively.
The phones will be rolled out for purchase in China via the official VMall e-store starting October 25.
Both Huawei Nova 13 and Huawei Nova 13 Pro variants come in four colourways— Feather Sand Purple, Feather Sand White, Loddon Green, and Star Black.
The Nova 13 Pro also features a unique space-textured glass for a premium feel.
