Anker Just Revealed New Soundcore Earbuds - Here Are The Biggest Features

Wireless earbuds are no longer just about sound quality. Audio brands are now racing to add smarter AI features, better noise cancellation, spatial audio, and even mini displays directly onto charging cases to stand out in the crowded market.

That’s exactly what Anker is trying to do with its newly announced Soundcore Liberty 5 Pro series earbuds, which also introduce the company’s brand-new ‘Thus’ audio chipset.

New ‘Thus’ Audio Chip Powers The Earbuds

The Soundcore Liberty 5 Pro and Liberty 5 Pro Max are the first products from Soundcore to feature the new Thus chipset.

According to Anker, the chip is designed to improve active noise cancellation (ANC), on-device AI audio processing, voice controls, and overall power efficiency for longer battery life.

Anker Also Introduced VibeOS

Anker’s Companion App Platform – VibeOS for Anker Soundcore Devices is now available in beta phase. VibeOS provides an easy-to-use interface to manage all your Soundcore devices.

VibeOS provides a central control hub with various AI-powered audio tools and Customization options.

VibeOS Brings Several AI Audio Features

Anker says VibeOS will include a wide range of smart audio features for users.

Some of the biggest additions include EQ listening tests, audio restoration tools, sleep management functions, audio transcript generation, and real-time environmental audio adaptation that adjusts sound based on surroundings.

The company has not yet confirmed when VibeOS will fully roll out or whether older Soundcore devices will support it.

Liberty 5 Pro Series Focuses On Smart Features

The Liberty 5 Pro series follows last year’s Soundcore Liberty 5 earbuds.

While Anker did not fully detail the internal audio hardware during its presentation, the company heavily focused on software and smart features instead.

The earbuds reportedly include eight microphones for improved call quality and stronger noise cancellation performance. They also support Dolby Atmos spatial audio with head tracking and feature an AI voice recorder for note-taking and meetings.

Touchscreen Charging Cases Steal The Spotlight

The charging case design is arguably one of the best parts of the new earbuds.

Both Liberty 5 Pro and Liberty 5 Pro Max come with a charging case that has a touch screen. The Pro has a long touchscreen area, and the Max’s area is larger; thus, the screen has more features.

You can also reportedly use the touchscreen to check your battery level, switch to different ANCs, and use several other audio features, all through the charging case’s touchscreen.

Price And Availability

The Soundcore Liberty 5 Pro is priced at £149.99, while the Liberty 5 Pro Max costs £199.99.

That makes both models significantly more expensive than the original Soundcore Liberty 5 earbuds, which launched at lower pricing globally.

Global availability and exact regional pricing details are still expected to be confirmed.
