Things to consider before you pair Apple Watch with iPhone 

There are few requirements that much be met before you begin the process. They are:

  • Your wearable must be Apple Watch SE (2nd generation), Apple Watch Series 6 or later, Apple Watch Ultra, or Apple Watch Ultra 2 with watchOS 11 or later
  • Your iOS device must be iPhone XS or later with iOS 18 or later
  • Make sure to update your iPhone to the latest version of iOS. (Go to the Settings > General > Software Update.
  • Make sure that your iPhone has Bluetooth turned on, and it’s connected to Wi-Fi or a cellular network

Turn on and pair Apple Watch with iPhone

Once all the requirements are met, follow the steps below to pair Apple Watch with iPhone:

  1. Put your Apple Watch on your wrist in a way it fits closely but comfortably.
  2. To turn on your Apple Watch, press and hold the side button until you see the Apple logo.
  3. Hold your iPhone near your Apple Watch, wait for the Apple Watch pairing screen to appear on your iPhone, then tap Continue.
    You can also go to the Apple Watch app on your iPhone, then tap Pair New Watch.
  4. Tap Set Up for Myself.
  5. When asked, position your iPhone so that your Apple Watch appears in the viewfinder in the Apple Watch app. The two devices have been paired.

How To Pair Apple Watch With iPhone

Set up your Apple Watch

After both the devices are paired, set up your Apple Watch with the steps given below:

  1. Tap Set Up Apple Watch, then follow the prompts on your iPhone and Apple Watch to finish setup.
  2. Follow the onscreen instructions to set up the following:
    • Log in to your Apple Account.
    • Create a passcode—either a standard four-digit passcode, or a long passcode, which requires six digits.
    • Customize settings for text size, optionally enter personal information such as date of birth and height that are used for fitness and health, and choose the health notifications you want to receive.

      3. You can change these settings after you’ve set up your Apple Watch.

Activate cellular service

If you have an Apple Watch with cellular service, you can activate it during setup. If you don’t wish to, you can activate it later in the Apple Watch app on your iPhone. In order to pair Apple Watch with iPhone, both the devices must use the same cellular carrier. 

Once all these are complete, your Apple Watch shows the watch face signifying the syncing is finished and your watch is ready to use.
