Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 Special Edition Comes With Slimmest Design, 200 MP Camera
For the first time in the Galaxy Z series, the Special Edition variant is equipped with an OIS-enabled 200-megapixel primary camera. It is backed by a 12-megapixel ultra-wide lens with autofocus and a 10-megapixel telephoto camera with support for 3x optical zoom.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 Special Edition has been released by the company and will be available for purchase in select markets starting next week. The new foldable smartphone is the thinnest and lightest design in the history of the Galaxy Z Fold series. It has made a couple of key improvisations in design, including the camera system and the display.
Most prominently, Samsung has trimmed 1.5 millimeters worth of thickness compared to the Galaxy Z Fold 6. The weight has been shed by three grams.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 Special Edition phones feature marginally bigger displays than its predecessor. When unfolded, the main screen offers an 8-inch display with a 20:18 aspect ratio, supporting the widest screen in the Galaxy Z Fold series. The cover screen measures 6.5 inches with a 21:9 aspect ratio.

On the inside, the new foldable phone comes with a 4-megapixel under-display camera, coupled with a 10-megapixel front camera on the cover screen. Except the internal camera, all the cameras of the Z Fold 6 Special Edition support 4K 60fps video recording. The primary camera also supports 8K 30fps video recording.
Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 6 Special Edition is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy processor. It comes with Galaxy A Iand One UI 6.1.1-based Android 14. The device will receive One UI 7.0 Android 15 early next year. Apart from Android 15, it will receive six more OS upgrades and seven years of security updates.
The device packs a 4,400mAh battery with 25W wired and 15W wireless charging support. It offers connectivity features like dual SIM support with e-SIM, 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, UWB, and USB-C. For security, it has a side-facing fingerprint scanner. The phone features 16GB RAM and 512GB of storage.
The smartphone has an armor aluminum frame, and its front and back panels are made of Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2. It retains the IP48-level dust and water resistance on its new foldable offering.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 Special Edition price starts at KRW 2,789,600 in South Korea. It roughly amounts to $2,024 based on the current conversion rates. It will be available in a single 16GB+512GB configuration and a Black Shadow colourway.
The foldable handset is scheduled to go on sale starting October 25 through the brand website and other online channels. The company is yet to divulge details about its rollout in overseas markets.
