Infinix Hot 50i Launched With MediaTek Helio G81: Key Features, Specs

Infinix has added a new smartphone to its Hot series phone- the Infinix Hot 50i. The device has been launched in select global markets as a mid-range budget smartphone combining essential features and sleek design. 

The Infinix Hot 50i is powered by a MediaTek Helio G81, a 4nm octa-core chipset coupled with up to 6GB RAM. With dimensions 165.7×77.1×8.1mm, it features a display with up to 120Hz refresh rate. It is backed by a 5,000mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging. It comes with a dual rear camera setup led by a 48-megapixel primary sensor and has an IP54 rating for water and dust resistance.

Weighing in at just 184 grams, the lightweight device is easy to handle and features a vibrant HD+ display.  The dual SIM (nano) Infinix Hot 50i arrives in four stylish colors: Sleek Black, Sage Green, Titanium Gray, and Dreamy Purple.

The Infinix Hot 50i runs Android 14-based XOS 14.5 and packs a 6.7-inch HD+(720×1,600 pixels) display with up to 120Hz refresh rate and 500 nits of peak brightness. The display is equipped with a hole punch cutout for the selfie shooter. It has Always On support and a Dynamic Bar feature.

The Infinix Hot 50i has a MediaTek Helio G81 SoC, coupled with 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of onboard storage. The Infinix’s Memfusion RAM feature allows for the onboard memory to be expanded up to 16GB using the additional unused storage. The onboard storage can be expanded further up to 2TB using a microSD card.

For capturing moments, the Infinix Hot 50i is equipped with a dual rear camera setup backed by a 48-megapixel primary sensor with dual flash. It is coupled with an 8-megapixel front camera.

Connectivity options on the Infinix Hot 50i include Bluetooth, FM Radio, a 3.5mm audio jack, OTG, USB Type-C port, and Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac. It also comes with an e-compass, G-sensor, gyroscope, light sensor, and proximity sensor. There is a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for authentication.

The Infinix Hot 50i is competitively priced at around $110. The device is currently listed on e-commerce websites in Nigeria at KES 14,000 for the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant. Some reports claim the smartphone is listed in Malaysia too for RM 399 for the same model.The smartphone will hit several markets towards the end of the month.
