Track Delhi’s Air Quality and Weather with These Essential Apps

We've compiled together a list of AQI-level checking applications to help you live a healthier and safer life because pollution levels are rising.

As pollution levels progressively rise, numerous Indian cities, including Delhi, Gujarat, Haryana, Goa, and many more, have been placed under a severe Air Quality Index (AQI). The AQI is predicted to rise even further in the near future due to the impending cold and Diwali festivities. There isn’t much that can be done to lower the AQI in the general environment because there are numerous elements that contribute to the rising graph, even though preventative steps like using an air purifier at home and wearing a mask when outside are still recommended. Before leaving the house, there are a few apps you may download on your phone to check the air quality index (AQI) of your city or location.

The name of the apps for checking the AQI level

IQAir AirVisual | Air Quality

It is simple to download the IQAir AirVisual I Air Quality app on both Android and Apple smartphones. It is available on the Google Play Store and the App Store. Additionally, tablets and smartwatches can use the app. As stated in the description, this app uses its sensors and government monitoring stations to deliver air quality data from more than 5 lakh cities worldwide. The app offers up to seven days’ worth of weather and AQI forecasts in addition to health advice. Additionally, it displays the air quality in several cities in real-time. Both 2D and 3D versions of the pollutant data are available for viewing.

The SAFAR-Air (System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting and Research-Air) app was released by the Ministry of Earth Sciences, Government of India. It can be downloaded from both the Play Store and the App Store. This app was created by the ministry in association with the Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology, Pune, as the description makes clear. At the moment, it only offers pollution forecasts and data on air quality for metro areas, such as Delhi, Pune, Mumbai, and Ahmedabad. Based on the cities, there are four language options available: Gujarati, Hindi, English, and Marathi. For now, the app only covers a small portion of these cities.

Plume Labs: Air Quality App

The Air Quality software by Plume Labs is an excellent software for determining the AQI level in your city. It is compatible with both Android and Apple smartphones. The app provides the weather and pollution forecast for the next 72 hours in addition to the real-time air quality index for many cities. Additionally, it facilitates data analysis for the previous six months. Data for the app is collected by the air quality forecasting system. It offers information on harmful pollutants such as O3, PM 2.5, PM 10, and NO2. It provides a summary of the day’s events as well as a prediction for the following day in two reports.

Shoot! I Smoke

If all you know about pollution is its relationship to cigarettes, there’s an app that can help you gauge how poor your city’s air quality index is. This software is accessible on the Play Store and Software Store, much like all the others. The analogy between air pollution and cigarette smoking aids in the understanding of AQI. As a result, you would also be aware of the number of cigarettes that are harmful to your health and lungs. You can also obtain detailed information on the app about PM2.5, PM10, CO, O3, NO2, and SO2 statistics thanks to its interactive design.

BreezoMeter Air Quality

BreezoMeter Air Quality is another app that can assist you in determining the local air quality index; it is available on both the App Store and Play Store. The users of this software can also reduce their exposure to pollen and poor air quality. In addition to providing real-time statistics and forecasts for future planning, it displays the air quality index for over 94 nations. Users may easily identify the origins of the contaminants in their immediate area and what those pollutants are thanks to the app. The user is able to understand how to lessen their exposure to such dangerous sources.
