Google I/O 2025: Google unveils date of annual developer event, Gemini will get major update

Google has announced the date of its annual developer event I/O 2025. This two-day event of Google will start on May 20. In this event, the company will launch new software products and other products. Along with this, the company can also share some information about its future plans through this event.

At this year’s I/O developer conference, Google may unveil upgrades to its AI model Gemini and other AI products. Along with this, it is expected that Google can also launch its mobile operating system Android 16.

The Google I/O 2025 event will start on May 20 and will run till May 21. This Google event is to be held at Google’s headquarters in California. Registration for entry to this event has started. Along with this, this event can be watched live on Google’s YouTube channel.

Expectations from Google I/O 2025

Google says that the first day of the event will have keynotes and sessions. On the other hand, the second day will have breakout sessions, workshops, demos, network opportunities and other events.

Along with this, it is expected that during this event Google can release major updates for its AI model Gemini. Along with this, other apps like Gmail, Docs, Maps can be connected to AI. The online registration process for Google I/O 2025 has started from today.

The last Google I/O started on May 14, 2024, in which many big announcements were made, including new Gemini AI features, Project Astra AI assistant, Veo generative AI video model, and a major AI-powered update to Google Search. Talking about Google’s 2023 I/O event, the company brought Pixel Fold, Pixel Tablet and Pixel 7A.

Now it will be interesting to see what Google has in store for innovation in 2025. Interestingly, Google’s event will overlap with Microsoft’s Built conference, which runs from May 19 to May 20. Microsoft may introduce the Copilot Plus update in this.
