Kling AI moves to 2.0 with better tools to help everyone create stories

A leading social platform, Kuaishou Technology announced that it held the launch event of Kling AI 2.0 in Beijing. In this event, Kling AI’s new video and image generation models were introduced to the world. These are better versions of their older tools.

Over 22 million people around the world have used Kling AI since it started in June last year which is only 10 months before. On March 27, an international AI ranking group named Artificial Analysis shared its list of best video generation models. Kling 1.6 Pro came first in the “Image to Video” category with a score of 1,000, beating Google Veo 2 and Pika Art.

Kling AI has been updated more than 20 times to improve video and image quality. Mr. Gai Kun, Senior Vice President of Kuaishou, said that the goal of Kling AI is to help everyone tell their stories using AI, in a more accurate and creative way.

Kling AI 2.0 with better video motion and image details

KlingAI 2.0 is better in terms of video motion, image details, and how well it understands commands. Another tool, Kolors 2.0, has also improved how it follows prompts, gives movie-like quality, and supports different art styles.

Mr. Gai Kun said that in their own tests, Kling AI 2.0 did better than others in most areas. It beat tool like Google Veo 2 and Runway Gen-4 in several tests about video quality and understanding the meaning of inputs.

He said that current AI tools still face problems. AI can’t always clearly understand what the user wants to show. To fix this, Kling AI added a new feature called Multi-Modal Visual Language (MVL). This lets users give their ideas not just by text, but by using photos, short videos, and other types of content like face looks, style, camera angles, and actions.

Mr. Gai Kun said that it’s clear just text is not enough. So, they made a better way to express thoughts. MVL has two parts: TXT (text only) and MMW (multi-modal document), which give better control over the video-making process.

New video editing tool launched with Kling AI 2.0 Master Edition

Using the MVL idea, Mr. Zhang Di, Vice President of Kuaishou and Head of Kling AI, launched the Kling AI 2.0 Master Edition. This version can understand inputs better, follow instructions more clearly, and supports over 60 visual effects. It helps users create more creative and better-looking videos and images.

One big new tool is multimodal video editing, which lets users edit video clips by adding or changing parts using text or pictures. Kolors 2.0 also brings smart image editing features like partial changes and redrawing, keeping the main meaning of the image while changing its style.

Mr. Zhang Di said that 85% of Kling AI video creations start from images. So, image quality matters a lot. Kolors is ahead of other popular tools like Midjourney V7, FLUX 1.1 Pro, and Reve in things like style control and quality.

He also said that Kling AI 2.0 Master Edition is not just about tech improvement, but it makes the whole experience better for users.

Kling is becoming important in many industries

Along with tools for personal users, Kling AI also gives services to companies. It has partnered with over 1,000 businesses globally, like Amazon Web Services, Xiaomi, Alibaba Cloud, Freepik and BlueFocus. Over 15,000 developers and businesses have used the Kling API to make over 12 million images and 40 million videos.

Mr. Chen Xiangyu, one of Kling AI’s top users and director of New World Is Loading, said that their team uses Kling AI in every step of content creation. From writing to designing scenes, AI has helped them work faster and with more creativity. He said that Kling AI is now part of their full content creation process.

Kling AI starts new program to support creators

To support creative people, Mr. Zhang Di announced the Kling AI NextGen New Image Venture Capital Program. This program will give money, global promotion, and other support to help people share their stories through AI. Kling AI also invited creators worldwide to help make the first-ever user-created AI video, which will be shown in cities like Shanghai, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Paris, and Toronto.
