Nothing released Nothing OS 2.5 Open Beta 2
It’s a great news for Nothing users that they can download Nothing OS 2.5 Open Beta 2 in Nothing Phone 2.
The Nothing Phone 2 users can now download the Nothing OS 2.5 Open Beta 2. The Nothing OS 2.5 Open Beta 1 was released in October of this year, and this comes after that. Improved features, such as an enhanced Glyph Interface, are brought by the corporation with the Open Beta 2. Several new widgets are also included in the update based on Android 14. Because this is a beta release, there is no warning that it could affect the phone’s functionality or data, thus users should choose to back up all of their vital information. Users who want to revert to Nothing OS 2.0.4 from this beta version can do so by contacting the firm.
Nothing claims that all Nothing programs support the Predictive Back feature in the Nothing OS 2.5 Open Beta 2 forum thread. The double-press power button gesture can also have extra possibilities for users of the Phone 2. New icons for the status bar are included with this release. It says it makes the three-finger swipe motion better. In addition to standard bug repairs, it receives a few more small UI improvements.
Nothing Phone interface
The Glyph Interface has been updated with a new Glyph animation when NFC is used, a Glyph Timer that now supports time presets and can be opened straight from the lock screen, and Glyph Progress integration for Google Calendar. Support for lock screen widgets and a new pedometer widget featuring personalized animation progress and step tracking are features of the Nothing OS 2.5 Open Beta 2. In addition, it offers a new media widget that lets users browse through podcasts or music from various media players. Users can also use the screen time widget to monitor how much time they spend on screens.
Users of Nothing Phone 2 will need to download the beta installer program for Nothing OS by downloading the Nothing OS Beta tool APK file (link on the Community page). To finish the procedure, they can navigate to Settings > System > Update to Beta version, select Check for New Version, and then follow the instructions on the screen.
Furthermore, Nothing hinted at the Nothing OS 3, which is expected to have significant enhancements over the existing operating system, in a Community update video. It is anticipated to launch in the first half of 2024 and be based on Android 14. A release date for the Nothing OS 3 has not yet been announced by the business, though.
