What to Expect at Samsung’s Galaxy S25 Event
Samsung is all set to unveil its much-anticipated Galaxy S25 series at the Galaxy Unpacked event tomorrow, January 22nd, at 1 PM ET. As always, the event will be livestreamed on YouTube, the company’s official website, and its newsroom page. Samsung enthusiasts and tech lovers alike are eager to see what new innovations the tech giant has up its sleeve, particularly with its upcoming Samsung Galaxy S25 lineup.
The Samsung Galaxy S25 is expected to follow in the footsteps of its predecessor but with some exciting updates and design tweaks. As leaks have suggested, we can expect the company to reveal the Galaxy S25, S25 Plus, and the S25 Ultra. While these models will likely retain the core features of the Galaxy series, the Ultra version is expected to come with rounded corners and some design upgrades.
New Features and Leaks
Samsung’s new Galaxy S25 models will come with Qi2 wireless charging support, though this feature might be available with “Qi2 Ready” phones that require a magnetic case for the full MagSafe-like experience.
One of the most talked-about updates for the Galaxy S25 Ultra is its integration with One UI 7, which is Samsung’s custom take on Android 15. This UI update launched in beta recently, featuring an iPhone-like “Now Bar”, a revamped camera app, and AI-driven enhancements that help users disable HDR content when needed. Samsung’s press release indicated that One UI 7 seamlessly incorporates AI into every interaction, making it a major talking point during tomorrow’s event.
Leaked Renders of Galaxy S25
According to leaked images, the Samsung Galaxy S25 Plus and S25 Ultra feature sleek, minimalistic designs that stay true to Samsung’s sophisticated aesthetic. The S25 Ultra will be slightly different from its predecessors, with rounder edges to make it more ergonomic. Expect the typical superior camera performance, display clarity, and AI enhancements from these new models.
What Else to Expect?
Although the Galaxy S25 is the star of the show, rumors also suggest that Samsung might discuss their next VR project, known as “Project Moohan”, a headset that has been under development. While it remains unclear whether the VR headset will make its debut, this could be a sneak peek at the company’s plans for virtual reality in the near future.
There’s also the possibility that the Samsung Galaxy S25 Slim won’t be launched in the US market based on current rumors. However, surprises during Galaxy Unpacked are always a possibility!
Stay tuned for the official announcements tomorrow and watch the Galaxy Unpacked live stream on Samsung’s official platforms.
