Big AI Surprise Not Coming at Apple’s WWDC 2025, But These 4 Apple Intelligence Projects Will Change the Future
Apple’s biggest developer event WWDC 2025 is just a few days away, but AI fans will need to wait a little more. Apple will not make any big AI announcements this time. According reports, Apple’s AI comeback will probably not happen at this WWDC. People inside the company also think the AI updates this time will be disappointing.

But this does not mean Apple is behind in AI. Actually, the company has been working on some big and important AI projects for some time. These may come out next year or in the following WWDC. For now, in WWDC 2025, we may see some small AI features like AI-powered battery management and Apple opening its Foundation Models to third-party developers, which will improve AI integration in iOS.
There will also be small AI improvements in apps like Safari and Photos, which Apple will rename as “AI-powered.” These features will make the experience a bit smoother and smarter, but no big changes will happen this time.
WWDC 2025: 4 Big Apple AI Projects You Should Know About

1. The Next Step for Siri – LLM Siri
Apple is preparing to take its voice assistant Siri to the next level. LLM Siri will be as powerful as Gemini Live and ChatGPT’s advanced voice modes. But this Siri upgrade will probably not be shown at this WWDC. It may come with the iOS 26 update next year.
2. AI Magic in Shortcuts App
For those who use Apple’s Shortcuts app, there is good news. Apple plans to add AI to this app so users can create AI-driven custom actions instead of making shortcuts manually. This was planned for this year but has now been delayed to 2026.
3. Mulberry – Apple’s AI Doctor
Apple has always been ahead in health technology, and now it plans to bring AI to its Health app. This AI health assistant called Mulberry will give users a chatbot-like experience, with features like fitness trackers such as Whoop and Oura ring. This update is expected in spring 2026.
4. Knowledge – The AI That Will Compete with ChatGPT
The biggest and most ambitious project is Apple’s own AI assistant like ChatGPT, called “Knowledge” inside the company. This AI will fetch data from the internet to answer users’ questions. Mike Rockwell, who works on Vision Pro, is now leading this project. Apple wants to compete with big AI companies like OpenAI and Google, but it faces many challenges, so the launch has been delayed.
Even though there will be no big AI surprise at Apple’s WWDC 2025, the company’s future AI plans look promising. These 4 projects show that Apple is not behind in AI but is slowly shaping its strategy.
Next year or later, Apple may change the technology world with its AI abilities. Until then, we will have to watch small AI improvements and Apple’s health and productivity features.
