Add Music On WhatsApp Status: How it works
It is easy to add music on WhatsApp Status. When creating a Status, you’ll now see a music note icon at the top of your screen. Tap it, and you’ll unlock a library of songs to pick from. Choose the exact part of the song that fits your moment – up to 15 seconds for a photo and up to 60 seconds for a video.
Similar to Instagram, the WhatsApp pool has millions of songs to choose from. The Status is end-to-end encrypted so even WhatsApp can’t see what you share or know which songs have been added to your Status.
Note: You can add music to WhatsApp status updates with photos or video. This feature is not available for text, GIF, or voice status updates.
How To Add Music On WhatsApp Status On Android
Step 1: Tap Updates > camera.
Step 2: Select a photo or video, or tap Camera to take a new photo or video.
- Alternatively, tap Camera to make a new photo or video.
Step 3 :Tap Music icon to open the music browser.
Step 4: Tap the search bar to search for music or scroll down to browse popular songs.
- You can search by song, artist, keyword
Step 5: Tap Play to preview the song or “right arrow” to add to status.
Step 6:Use the progress bar to select a section of the song to add to status.
- Tap the center of the screen to change sticker type.
Step 7: Tap Done.
- Tap and hold the sticker to move and resize it.
- Tap the sticker to go back to the music editor.
Step 8: Tap Send.
Note: You can add up to 15 seconds of music to an image update. For video updates, you can add music that lasts the duration of the video. Video updates can be a maximum of 60 seconds long.
Create a status without choosing a photo or video on Android
- Tap Updates.
- Tap Video > Music.
- Tap the search bar to search for music or scroll down to browse popular songs.
- Tap Play to preview the song or “right arrow” to add to status.
- Tap the music sticker to change the sticker type.
To create a status with music from someone else’s status, tap the sticker > Add status with music.
