PlayStation 5 Pro: All You Need To Know; List Of Games Available At Launch

Sony has announced the global release of its PlayStation 5 Pro, calling it their “most advanced and innovative console hardware to date,” following its initial reveal in September.

Marked by upgraded performance and cutting-edge technology, this next-gen console promises an enhanced gaming experience with new features, higher frame rates, and support for both 4K and 8K resolutions.

It comes with an upgraded GPU, advanced ray-tracing features, AI upscaling technology for better image quality and double the storage of the PS5.

PlayStation 5 Pro: Features, Specifications

The PS5 Pro comes with a handful of hardware upgrades over the original model, with the console promising better framerates and higher resolution. It arrives with the same AMD Ryzen Zen 2 CPU as the PS5, but has improved RDNA graphics with 16.7 teraflops of GPU compute performance.

The device supports smooth frame rates at 60Hz and 120Hz, ensuring a stable gameplay.

The console comes with 16GB of GDDR6 memory and an additional 2GB of DDR5 RAM for system tasks. The PS5 Pro features a 2TB custom SSD, doubling the storage space of the standard PS5.

The PS5 Pro debuts Sony’s new AI upscaling feature, known as PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution (PSSR), which leverages machine learning-based technology for better image quality. The console sports 4K TV and 1440p HDMI output, 8K support, VRR, and HDR for an optimized visual display.

The device supports Wi-Fi 7 which reduces latency and enhances online stability.

Game Boost offers improved frame rates in select PS4 and PS5 titles. The console’s ultra-high-speed SSD and integrated I/O minimize load times for enhanced gaming experience. Backward compatibility supports over 8,500 PS4 games.

How To Transfer Data From PS4 or PS5

Moving data from PS5 to PS5 is simple. Both devices must be connected to the same network, and users should sign in on their PlayStation Network accounts. Once signed in, data such as user information, downloaded games, save files, and settings can be migrated.
