It’s That Time Of The Year: How To Get Your YouTube Music Recap 2024
In order to use the YouTube Music Recap 2024, you have to boot up the mobile app and tap on the small compass that appears on the top-left corner.
The year is drawing to a close when music streaming apps remind us of our listening habits in the last 12 months. Following the tradition, the YouTube Music Recap 2024 is here, recapitulating how much listening you’ve done in total, with the songs, albums, and artists you’ve listened to the most over the course of the year.
The recap should show up the next time you open the YouTube Music app. Tap Let’s do this to see it. If you dismiss the notification, you can find the recap again by going to the Home tab and scrolling past your personal mixes.
The feature works like a story on Snapchat or Instagram – tap to go forward, or tap and hold to pause.
You are shown the ‘vibes’ of your year, and how many different tracks you listened to, and what your top five tracks were.
You can also save a 2024 Recap playlist to your library for other times. This has the top 100 songs you listened to the most across the year.
There is a new feature in YouTube Recap 2024 with the introduction of your Music Character. The music taste throughout the year will produce unique characters. For instance, listeners of high-energy songs such as drums and bass will get the character The Muscle.
If you select gaming, you’ll be told what game you watched most, which channels you followed, and what big moment from a release that you were there for.
Unlike Spotify, which directly presents its Wrapped compilation upon login, users cannot access the YouTube 2024 recap on their desktops. They’ll need the mobile application in order to know their most-viewed gaming and music videos.
