The mid-range smartphone market in India is about to get another contender. Vivo T5x 5G is set to launch in the country very soon, and early teasers suggest the company is focusing heavily on performance, battery life, and durability.
Over the past few weeks, Vivo has been slowly revealing key details through teasers and marketing material, while benchmark listings and leaks have filled in some of the missing pieces. From its chipset and battery to its expected price segment, here’s everything currently known about the upcoming phone.
Vivo T5x 5G Launch Date and Availability in India
Vivo has confirmed that the Vivo T5x 5G will launch in India on March 17 at 12 pm IST. Once announced, the smartphone will be available for purchase online via Flipkart, where a dedicated microsite for the device is already live.
The handset will arrive in two colour options: Cyber Green and Star Silver
Based on the information revealed so far, the device is also expected to launch with at least one higher configuration featuring 8GB RAM and 256GB storage.
The phone will join the company’s T-series lineup, which currently includes devices like the Vivo T4x 5G, launched earlier in 2025.
Vivo T5x 5G Expected Price in India
While Vivo has not revealed the exact price yet, the company has hinted that the device will fall in the Rs. 10,000 to Rs 23,000 price segment.
If these price rumours are true, then the phone will compete directly with several popular mid-range devices in India.
Vivo T5x 5G Design and Display
Based on official teasers, the Vivo T5x 5G will feature a clean, flat design with a square-shaped camera module on the back. The module houses two camera sensors, an LED flash, and a ring light.
Other visible design elements include:
- Power button and volume controls on the right side
- USB Type-C port at the bottom
- Speaker grille and microphone cutouts
- A secondary microphone placed near the top
On the front, the device is expected to feature a centred pill-shaped display cutout that resembles Apple’s Dynamic Island design.
Reports suggest the phone could include a 6.72-inch LCD with:
- Full HD+ resolution (1080 × 2400 pixels)
- 120Hz refresh rate
- Peak brightness up to 1,250 nits
However, Vivo has not officially confirmed these display specifications yet.
Performance and Software
Performance appears to be one of the biggest highlights of the phone.
The Vivo T5x 5G is confirmed to run on the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Turbo chipset. This octa-core processor is expected to bring noticeable improvements in performance and efficiency compared to previous T-series devices.
Vivo claims the device has achieved over 1 million points on the AnTuTu benchmark, which is a strong score for a phone in this segment.
According to the company, overall performance could improve by around 10 % and AI performance could see about 15% improvement
The phone will likely ship with OriginOS 6 based on Android 16, offering a range of software optimisations and features.
Camera Setup
Vivo has confirmed the presence of a dual rear camera system, but full details are still under wraps.
However, leaks suggest the phone may include: a 50-megapixel primary rear camera (f/1.8 aperture) and an 8-megapixel front camera for selfies and video calls
The device could also support 4K video recording at 30 frames per second, which is becoming increasingly common in this price category.
Battery
One of the biggest talking points about the Vivo T5x 5G is its massive battery.
The smartphone is confirmed to pack a 7,200mAh battery, which is significantly larger than what most phones in this segment offer.
The device will support 44W wired fast charging, allowing users to quickly top up the battery.
According to Vivo’s claims, the phone could deliver:
- Up to 40 hours of video playback
- Around 93 hours of music playback
- More than 15 hours of BGMI gaming
- Over 18 hours of social media browsing
- Around 14 hours of GPS navigation
If these numbers hold up in real-world usage, the phone could easily last two days on a single charge for many users.
So, the Vivo T5x 5G appears to be targeting buyers who want strong performance and long battery life without spending too much.
