Google's June Update Is Here Fake Call Alerts, iPhone File Sharing, and More

Google has recently rolled out many new software features at I/O 2026 last month. But now, even more updates are on the way. As per the reports circulating online, there are around 7 new updated features to be added soon.

All these features don’t require a specific smartphone, but are in general for everybody.

Let’s have a look at all the 7 updates coming soon.

1. Fake Call Detection

Many of us get spam calls and messages almost every day. Scammers even spoof numbers in your phone, so that any call they make looks genuine to you. But Google has now launched a detection tool, which will instantly tell whether the call is genuine or a scam.

If any call you get is not genuine, an alert will pop up on your screen, and you will know that it’s fake and then end the call.

This Fake call detection feature is viable for smartphones running on Android 12 or above, but it will require using the phone with Google apps, and it will limit you to Pixel and select non-Pixel devices.

2. Google Photos Wardrobe

Google Photos wardrobe is another new feature in the upcoming update. This feature will make it easier for you to keep track of your numerous clothes, and will also help you combine them in an outfit.

Google Photos wardrobe will catalogue various clothes that you are wearing in the photos, and will allow you to filter them by category, for example, Tops, jeans, shirts and more. And will then combine them into an outfit that you can virtually try on and check whether it looks good on you or not.

This will be available for devices running on Android 10 and above, but only for people in the US, India and Brazil.

This feature is already there in a few smartphones, where you are allowed to circle an outfit, with a circle to search and then click on ‘find the look’ to get the price and details about every individual piece.

Now this feature is expanding to more smartphones, so that devices running on Android 14 or later can just use it whenever needed.

4. Airdrop Support

Airdrop has always been an iPhone thing, but now, Airdrop support through Quick Share has finally arrived on Android phones.

Before this, the Airdrop support was available in Samsung, Google, Oppo, and Vivo, but now it will be available for Xiaomi 17T Pro, OnePlus 15, Honor Magic V6, Motorola Razr Fold 2026 and more.

5. Personal Safety App

The personal safety app allows you to share and store medical information, emergency contact services, and more. Some of these apps are even available to kids under the age of 13.

Soon, the app will be able to schedule Safety Checks, automated emergency calls, contact services and more. This will be an easy way to call or tell your people, if you are in any emergency.

6. Insights into Books

If you are a book lover and use Google Play Books, then you will also find some new features in that, as an update. The new update will let you recap whatever you were reading so far by clicking on ‘Catch me up’.

Not only this, you can even highlight the things you like or want. This ‘Book Insights’ feature will only work with English titles, so it is not available globally.

7. Emoji Combination

Emoji Kitchen will now let you combine two emojis and create a new one, and it is even releasing new combined emojis. As per the sources, a blingy bee, i.e. a bee with the ring and a mouse heart, i.e. a mouse holding a heart, will be available soon.
